Key Features
Naturally Aspirated DI Diesel
Compression ratio 17.5:1–18.5:1 achieves auto-ignition without glow plugs. Mechanical jerk-type injection pump with nozzle opening pressure 150–180 bar delivers precise spray geometry for clean, complete combustion at rated load.
OHV Pushrod Valvetrain
Camshaft-driven pushrod–rocker arm assembly. Inlet opens 10° BTDC, exhaust closes 10° ATDC — tuned for maximum volumetric efficiency at 1500 RPM. Cast-iron head with hardened valve seat inserts and interference-fit valve guides.
Dual Cooling Systems
Air-cooled: flywheel-integrated centrifugal fan draws cooling air through deep-fin cast-iron barrel. Water-cooled: thermosyphon or forced-circulation circuit, thermostat-controlled, 2–5 L coolant capacity, rated to 52°C ambient.
1500 RPM — Governed
Mechanical centrifugal governor with ±5% steady-state speed regulation. Mean piston speed 4.0–5.8 m/s across the stroke range (80–116 mm) — well within conservative limits for extended TBO and low mechanical wear.
Forged Crankshaft & 3-Ring Piston
Forged alloy steel crankshaft, statically and dynamically balanced. Aluminium alloy piston carries a chrome-faced top compression ring, plain intermediate ring, and coil-spring-loaded oil scraper ring. Wet-type cast-iron liner, honed to Ra 0.4 µm.
Field-Rebuildable Architecture
Liner–piston–ring kits interchangeable across bore families (85–114 mm). All running clearances documented to ISO 2768 tolerance class. Injection pump elements cross-compatible with common Bosch A-type service tooling — full rebuild without dealer dependency.
